Awareness Campaign
We Must Promote A GUN Awareness Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
I am promoting this public awareness campaign because we have failed to properly teach our children how to distinguish the difference between fact and fiction or right from wrong. Our children are exposed to so much violence at the movies, on television and on video games. The thing that we have failed to do is teach our children that actors play rolls in the movies that for the most part are not real. When the director says cut, the scene is over and the actors get up again to go on and make other movies. This is what happens in a make believe world, but in the real world death is final, and the victims die and never get up again.
When it comes to gun violence, there are no do over’s after the trigger is pulled. There is no way of stopping that bullet. In real life there are no reset buttons you can’t stop and start over again it’s not a game.
There are many people that try to dismiss what’s happening on, the news. Sadly the victims are real they are someone’s father or mother, someone’s, brother or sister, someones niece or nephew. I am tired of going to bed and awakening to reports of gun violence with multiple deaths. These young people were not insignificant to their families.
Gun violence is a community problem; it’s not just a law enforcement problem. We all must play our parts in stemming the tide and stop turning our backs on our kids even if their perceived reality is false.
We must teach our children to protect their families name and don’t disgrace the family by committing violent crimes. It’s time that we start investing in educating our children at an early age to find new ways of saying no to using a gun to settle their disputes.
I can no longer fool myself, I have suffered for over 25 years because of gun violence and it’s time to change the way we do things. We must teach our kids to say No Man when asked to do wrong like, hey man, let’s steal a car no man I don’t steal cars. hey man let’s bully the weak kids, no man I don’t bully other kids.
